Age 2 1/2 is a momentous and ever-changing time for Aubrey. On Memorial Day weekend, Aubrey moved from her crib (which she loved and we loved), to her toddler bed.

Every morning for almost a year, Aubrey would stand at the side of her crib and announce, "Mommy, I'm wake now." She would greet us with an excited smile when we walked into the room. We took one last picture of Aubrey standing in her crib before taking it apart.

"Good morning, Aubrey! Congratulations! You spent your first night in your 'big girl' bed!"
We put some of the crib's bumper pads around her new bed to help with the transition and because she sleeps with her head in the corner of the bed. She needed a little extra cuddling, hugs, and kisses throughout that first night to reassure her that she was safe in her new bed. But after that, there have been no other restless nights.
Check back to the blog to find out how Aubrey is doing with potty-training which starts the weekend of June 6th.
