Aubrey "Elivzbeff" Nash is 2 1/2 years old!

On May 1st, Aubrey turned 2 1/2 years old.
She can say her full name, "Aubrey Elivzbeff (Elizabeth) Nash," and correctly position her fingers to show that she is two (sorry, no photo). Aubrey can catch a ball that is bounced to her. It won't be long before we officially start potty-training her - - she has used the potty 3 times already (in an effort to see how she would respond and whether or not she's ready). She is wanting to do a lot of things by herself now - - "I can do it by myself," is a phrase we often hear like when she is washing her hands, putting on clothes, going upstairs, brushing her hair and teeth, etc. One time, after she successfully put on her shirt, she looked at Jeff and said, "Daddy, you're so proud of me." (I guess it's obvious that we give our kids lots of praise.)

She likes to position her stuffed animals into the shapes of various letters or lay down and announce to us what letter she is making. (She got this idea from her Little Leaps game where kids lay on the ground to make letters.) In this photo, she started out laying the animals so that they were all "holding hands," but eventually decided that they were making the letters "C," "U," and "Y."

To celebrate Aubrey's special day (her 2 1/2 birthday), Mommy let Aubrey choose her own breakfast of Lucky Charms cereal and pick out her clothes. Then we spent the morning playing whatever she wanted. Aubrey and Mommy drew on the driveway with chalk, then Aubrey rode around on her tricycle, which she can peddle all by herself now.

We played on the playground......weeee!

We had a tea party with her tea set and play food. Aubrey pretends to eat the food and then puts it down her shirt like it's going into her belly.
We made Daddy (who works at home) some lunch out of play-dough (right to left: salad, spaghetti with meatballs, blueberry muffin and star cookies for desert).

For Aubrey's lunch, she wanted a grilled cheese sandwich, so Mommy made the letter "A" out of her sandwich and gave her some "A"pplesauce. (Mommy couldn't make "2 1/2" so she made an "A" for "Aubrey" instead.)

We are so proud of how our little girl (I mean, "big girl") is growing. She is happy, intelligent, energetic, polite, and loads of fun. Mommy is soooo happy to be able to stay at home with the girls - - I tell people that it's like one long week of kindergarten, which I thoroughly enjoy.
