Aubrey was playing with the alphabet puzzle one day and impressed Mommy with all the words she could spell by herself.

This was Aubrey's first time to succeed at writing all the letters in her name in order. I just wish it had been on paper instead of this magna-board so that I could keep it. (Top row: A, a squished U, B, and a R that looks like a B; Bottom row: a terrific E, and a Y missing the tail.)
She was being so silly one morning while we were getting dressed. When she announced that she was ready, this is what I found - - shorts on her head; legs through the arm-holes of her shirt.
Aubrey's most recent fixation has been on brushing her teeth. It's a great habit, but adds one more activity to our already busy days since she wants to do the
entire process by herself after every meal....including flossing.

My, my...what a smart girl! (at least I think so!) Aubrey correctly matched up the alphabet letters to the first letter sound of each animal. Great job, Aubrey!

Another rainy day means another day of painting on the porch. I guess I should have known not to leave them alone for too long - - Aubrey painted her arm and Addison painted her face and neck.

One of Aubrey's favorite movies is "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (original version). Her favorite character is Violet who turns into a big blueberry after trying a new kind of chewing gum. Aubrey surprised us with a pretty terrific drawing of Violet.

Aubrey was scared (i.e. "refusing") to have her hair washed after having a bad experience of getting soap in her eyes. So Mommy convinced Aubrey to wear her goggles to keep out the soap/water. It worked! After just a few baths with her goggles, she wasn't scared anymore....Creative parenting at it's finest!

This just cracks me up!! After a few of days of running lots of errands, hence making numerous trips to public restrooms, Aubrey started "dressing" the toilet at home the way Mommy does when we are out somewhere.

Aubrey looks forward to when we have corn on the cob so she can help "shuck the corn."

Aubrey has a new found love for her baby doll. Here she bathed the baby, changed her diaper, then dressed her. She sang her a lullaby and is hugging her "goodnight."
