Addison is talking more and more and showing her personality. Here are some of the things she can say:
- "Wee!"
- "Head, shoulders, knees, toes, eyes, nose" and can point to them all, plus her belly-button;
- "Night, night"
- "Cheese" when having her picture taken;
- "Aubrey," "Mommy," "Daddy"
- She also now says, "Addison, nap, hat, please, up, eat, more, juice, shoes, no, key, tootles (from Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse), dog, woof, ball, tiddy (for her kitty), and many other words mentioned in previous posts.
Addison is rubbing lotion onto her leg after a nice bath. Afterwards, Mommy gave her a tiny, little trim.
Mommy had to give Addison an "unofficial" haircut just to remove about 20 hairs in front that were longer than all of the others because they were getting in her eyes (and did not look very attractive).
Photos: (left) Addison still sleeping; (right) Addison wakes up in our shared bed the morning of her 15-month birthday. This was one of the last nights that she co-slept with Mommy.
Addison enjoyed her lasagna for lunch!
She's also doing a great job of feeding herself.
Addison painted for the first time on her birthday. She did very well until she decided to put the brush in her mouth.
Addison's favorite thing to do outside is ride around in the Barbie Jeep. She's learning how to push the pedal by herself but not consistently (which causes an awful jerk), so Daddy figured out how to push the pedal for her using a rocket launcher.
We take turns reading to the girls every night before bed.
Right after Addison's 15-month birthday, she gave up her second nap of the day. Now she only takes one, 3-hour nap during the same time as Aubrey's 2-hour nap (hooray!). Addison also goes to bed in her crib a little earlier than the rest of us instead of waiting for Mommy to go to bed with her. Mommy is sleeping much better and able to get more tasks done during the day but is missing cuddling with Addison and having individual playtime with both girls.
