Addison's 7-month update

I know I say this with every update of Addison, but I just can't believe how much Addison is changing from month to month - - Where is our little, tiny baby?! We had heard that younger children develop faster/earlier than first-born children because they try to copy what the older children do - - we have to agree. When we look back on our calendar and in photos, Aubrey didn't fly through each physical, developmental milestone like Addison is doing, so Aubrey seemed to stay a cuddly infant much longer. Sure, there are other things that Aubrey did earlier than Addison, like cutting teeth and saying, "Dada," (both of which Aubrey did in her 7th month), but physically, Addison is surprising us with what she can do already. . Just since our last update, Addison can clap, shake her head "no," (but not in response to a question), crawl forward, pull up, and cruise around the house holding onto furniture. She is so strong (Mommy already knew that from pregnancy) - - she gives Mommy a work-out trying to keep up with her and keep her safe.

Addison is waking up the morning of her 7-month birthday. This was one of the last mornings in her cradle because she can now stand up in it.
Addison now sleeps safe and sound in her crib (after sleeping a while with Mommy in the big bed).

Although Addison can crawl very well now, she is only interested in crawling towards the nearest thing to pull up on so she can cruise.
She likes her activity table very much.

Here, she is trying to pull up on the door of her little house.
Addison is looking for the balls to her gumball machine.

Addison is, dare I say, a lot more "aggressive" than Aubrey was - - she pounds and pulls on things and bangs them together very forcefully. Here, she is batting at the ducks who are quacking and swimming around. Note the look of concentration on her face in the above photo. In the photo below, she is yelling at them (or trying to quack like them).

Aubrey and Addison are starting to play together (usually directed by Aubrey).

The three ladies of the house are baking oatmeal, raisin cookies. Mommy puts Addison in the carrier or sling when Mommy needs to keep both hands free. Addison is staying entertained by gumming a large spoon while we mix the ingredients. (No, this spoon was not used while baking.)
The girls are in their pajamas, robes, and bedroom shoes after a bath, watching Baby Einstein before bed. As always, Aubrey loves to hold Addison's hand.

Mommy is getting some sweet sugar from her little baby.

Daddy is getting some squeals and giggles from her.

This photo helps to show just how big (physically) Addison is getting.

Addison missed (or woke up early from) her late-afternoon nap, so it was impossible for her to stay awake during her supper.
