A tribute to Granny

On the evening of November 7th, our dear, sweet Granny passed away unexpectedly, although she had been bed-ridden with Alzheimer's Disease for many years. As soon as we arrived at Nana and Grandpa Hamilton's house (which was who cared for Granny), Aubrey went to Granny's room to look for her.

The obituary read as follows:
"Frances Fitzgerald Powell NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - ..........Frances, known by all of the family as "Granny," was a life-long resident of Augusta and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife of 60 years and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A quiet, sweet lady, "Granny" enjoyed fishing, sewing clothes for her daughter and granddaughters and making special "Raggedy Ann and Andy" dolls. She also liked working with her flowers in the yard, but, perhaps, she will be most fondly remembered for serving many delicious meals around the family table. She will be greatly missed........."

Here are a few pictures of Granny:
