Fernbank with the Farleys

Our membership to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History allows us to bring a second adult and 2 more children in addition to our own. So the Farley girls joined us for a morning at Fernbank and then a picnic at Stone Mountain afterwards.

The four girls are checking out the coral display in the new children's center called Nature Quest.

Sarah and Aubrey are running through what "looks like" a waterfall.
Addison playing on the river that looks like you are splashing it when you stomp or jump on it.
Addison is ready for a ride in the dugout canoe.
Addison and another little boy built a wall together.
The girls took turns blowing huge bubbles in the section called Sensing Nature.

Aubrey and Addison made rainbow shadows.
The Farleys tried out a vision display.
We all thought the simulated tornado was pretty cool.
Sarah is learning how to be a weather-girl.

Aubrey and Addison's favorite part of the Mythic Creatures exhibit is the unicorn.
The girls would make lovely mermaids.

The World of Shells exhibit was exquisite.
Sarah was most looking forward to seeing the dinosaurs.
Aubrey wanted to have her picture in front of this dinosaur.
A snack break, a few potty breaks, and losing both Aubrey and Addison in the children's section made for an exciting (and very tiring) visit with the Farleys.
We wrapped up the day with a picnic at the children's playground at Stone Mountain. We look forward to our next adventure with the Farley family.
