2009 Miss Walton County Pageant

We entered Addison in the "Baby Miss Walton County Pageant" just like we did with Aubrey when she was close to this age. (You may recall that Aubrey won the title that year - 2007). As explained last time, we do not plan on entering our girls in any additional pageants after the age of one. As little babies, it's easy and relatively stress-free for them to be in a pageant because they don't have to learn a routine, they don't have to be "bribed" to behave or cooperate (I saw lots and lots of that with the toddlers in the dressing room), and they can just be their adorable little selves and do whatever comes naturally. (If they want to be in pageants when they are much older, that's up to them.) Both Aubrey and Addison now have an official crown and sash for their memory boxes.

Addison is excitedly waving her flag as she walks around in her Americana "Funwear" outfit (a new segment of the pageant this year).
Then she came out in her formal wear dress. (Mommy does not spend lots of money on big, poofy, baby "pageant" dresses since it's not required.)

Addison smiled and waved at the judges.

After the formal wear segment, they gave out awards. Addison won a sash and crown for her "Funwear." She also won sashes for "Most Photogenic" and "Best Smile."

Here is Addison's official photo for winning "Funwear."

The best part of the whole pageant was when Addison first walked out onto the stage, and Aubrey yelled out, "Hey Addison!" Everyone laughed, including the judges.
